This SRC 310 was the second attempt to develop a ship by 31 feet - this time under the new owner Hans Mellström. The project was presented at the dealers' meeting in 1996 by Anders Bejting, then shipyard manager. The response of the dealers to this ship was so great that some immediately agreed to order ships.
However, this ship was not wanted by shipyard owner Hans Mellström, who wanted to give the Storebro design a more modern touch and therefore rejected the Wilke design of the SRC 310. So he left it up to Anders Bejting to stop the just announced project immediately.

The SRC 310 was planned in different versions. Surely the versions "Biscay" and "Adriatic", but also a "Baltic"-variant had been possible.

Instead of this ship, the J32 was then built. A ship with a completely different target group.

In retrospect, this ship would have offered as a supplement to the existing product range and the setting of the project was one of the most tragic decisions that sealed the demise of the shipyard.
