Foundry

The foundry in Storebro was founded in 1808. In addition to the later production of machine tools, this was an important industry in Storebro.

A range of foundry products.

For boatbuilding the proximity of the foundry meant direct access to many moldings that have been installed in and around the boats. These included the shaft brackets, rudders and cleats (eg the typical jet-cleats). In the early days, the case of the navigation lights and the throttle were produced by the foundry.
