During the construction of the ships different standard cushions were used. Beginning with subtle patterns, then rather plain fabrics were offered. The 70s were again colorful, while the 80s again continued with plain fabrics. The series led subsequently to the later blue or sand-colored interior.

For the Storö I (Storö I) a fabric has been taken from the King Cruiser. It was a fantastic furniture fabric that was specially woven in Italy. This fabric had a regular pattern of small crowns on a blue background ("Crown fabric"). The detailfots are from an Storö I of a Norwegian owner, who provided the photos in 2020. At that time the fabric was about 60 years old.
It also served as inspiration for the name "Royal Cruiser".

In the sixties and early seventies, the ships (Storö III and Storö IV) were equipped with monochromatic yellow or blue-green upholstery.

With the introduction of the Storö 34 temporary sand-colored patterned cushions were used since 1973.

Following the fairly widespread green-beige-colored patterned cushion was used since 1975. This was installed on the Storö 31, Storö 34 and Storö 38.
The choice of this cushion based on the wish of the French dealer who wanted something more colorful than the previous plain fabrics. In addition, there was a highly profiled green carpet and yellow curtains. However, the curtain fabric was not very UV-resistant and was really brittle over time.

The colorful cushions were replaced by the new noble looking blue upholstery that was first introduced with the Storö 40 and was then also used for the other series like Storö 31, Storö 34, Storebro 33 and Storebro Royal Cruiser 36.
In similar form, this color scheme was used until 1994 in the series SRC 380/SRC 420.

Nevertheless, there have been repeated attempts to place new color schemes on the market in cooperation with well-known interior decorators or designers. For this purpose the yard cooperated, inter alia, with Missoni and Svenskt Tenn. Missoni equipped a Royal Cruiser 36, Svenskt Tenn a SRC 380 with an individual design.

With the SRC 470 the rigid dictate of colors and patterns was canceled for the first time and the customer was able to choose variants. A development that has become the standard from 1994. The customer could choose between different coordinated color variants or completely implement their own ideas.
Since this time boats were more often delivered with leather upholstery (after originally only the Royal Cruiser 43 was supplied with a leather sofa).

In 1998 the company Tillberg-Design was choosen for the redesign of the interior. As a result, the owner could choose between the three color versions: blue, red and green. The design of the upholstery was uniform in all three variants. The upholstery was introdruced in the SRC 430 Baltic/Biscay, the last boats of the SRC 380 and the SRC 395. It was also available on the SRC 515 and in parts it was also used for the SGS No. 1.
