The Sea Chaser II (Solö Cabin) was a design by Einar Runius and a further development and modernisation of the well-known Solö Ruff (the most popular and best-selling sports boat in Sweden at the time).
The hull remained the same in length, but grew in width by 25 cm, which corresponds to the width of the hull of the USA model of the Solö Ruff.
The new design was in line with current tastes. The boat no longer had a flat deck but a distinct cabin superstructure. The large windows allowed for a much brighter interior. As for her predecessor, the price/equipment list does not include a separate toilet.
The Solö Cabin was practically superseded by its stern drive equipped sister, the Solö Aqua Cabin.
OtherThe naming of the model reflects the problems of the time. While in Swedish the name is given as Solö (Aqua) Cabin (or also Kabin), in English-speaking countries the name Sea Chaser II or Sea Chaser II Aqua was used. The name "Royal Cruiser" was only used for later models
