The Storebro 31 PC was developed by Storebro Bruks AB in close collaboration with the Royal Swedish Navy for ship-to-land transportation and for crew transport within the bases. The ship was delivered with (3x) and without a flybridge.
Although this boat was actually intended for the Swedish Navy, two boats with flybridge were delivered to civilian buyers. The interior of these boats was again based on the well-known woodworking of the pleasure boats.
After production, the molds were sold. The buyer adapted the forms and made a modified version of the boat with long aft deck similar to
Storebro 34 WB/Sport. These boats have not been produced by Storebro.
Miscellaneous
Before the Swedish FMV accepted the ships the shipyard had to demonstrate the stability of the ships. For this, the ships had to be operated four hours under full load and without a break. Also a reduction of the speed in turns was not permitted. A representative of the Swedish Navy carried out the procedure together with Lennart Ivarsson. The ships were then driven up and down at Västervik.
A special case is the hull number 2809. The ship was completed in 2017 and is a combination of Storebro 31 PC and Storö 31 Baltic. The hull comes from the PC, the cover shell from the Baltic.
Lars Bjureus built the ship from old original parts and newly developed parts in the halls of Storebro. Compared to the original model of the Baltic, this ship received some interesting modifications. Thus, the console was adapted to today's needs, the sink in the toilet was instead of GRP a combination of Corian® and stainless steel and the lining of the cabin roof corresponded to the Commander 410.
