Storebro Royal Cruiser 435 Commander/Sun Top

Remarks

The Storebro 435 Commander was introduced in late 2008 and represented a further development of the successful Storebro 410 Commander. In 2011, a second version was presented - the 435 Sun Top.

Concept
The SRC 435 eliminated a few weak points of the SRC 410. By extending the bathing platform by about two feet, the cockpit could be extended by about one foot. At the same time the bathing platform now offers more space for a tender. In the interior the most striking change is the change of the upholstery color from blue to beige. Other changes are the rotating passenger bench, the 2-seater driver's bench with base cabinet and the console above the helmstand.

In 2010 Storebro introduced the SRC 435 Sun Top as a further variant. The Sun Top was a version without flybridge, which was equipped with a large sunbed instead. At the same time a large panoramic sunroof has been integrated, which significantly lightens the interior. The roof of the 435 Sun Top spanned the cockpit more than the Flybridge of the Commander. This also means that the Sun Top does not require the complex electrical mechanism for steeper tensioning of the tarpaulin.

Apart from these features, both ships are equally equipped.

Engine
Unlike the SRC 410, there are only Volvo Penta D6-370 available by default. On special request the yard equipped the boat with D6-435. But these engines were not officially listed.
For the ships delivered in 2021, the updated successors D6-380 will be offered as standard. However, stronger versions will be installed on request.

Other
After production of the SRC 435 ceased with bankruptcy and the last SRC 435 under construction was completed in January 2014, Storebro Boats announced in October 2020 that it would start building the SRC 435 again. The price quoted for the finished ship was just under SEK 6,000,000. The first ship was completed and delivered in 2021. Two more ships were built in 2022. Another ship is currently under construction.

With the new edition of the SRC 435, a few details have been changed. Among other things, a wetbar is now available as an option on the flybridge. In return, the stairs from the saloon to the flybridge are omitted. At the same time, the overhead locker above the pentry has been extended from two to three compartments and offers more storage space.
