Information

Concept

The Storebro 34 Workboat was developed in closed cooperation with the Royal Swedish Navy. The strict requirements that were asked by the Navy lead to a versatile and extremely robust design of the boat. The large quarterdeck provided the basis for a variety of tasks. A small hydraulic crane was able to lift loads on deck.

In 1991 the civilian version "Sport" was placed on the market. This model was equipped more comfortable and was focused on the sport skipper. The exterior distinguishing feature is the one-piece side cabin window.

Engines

From the start of production Volvo Penta TAMD60B were installed. The engines were specified for continuous operation and made 185 hp instead of the 225 hp of the sports boat variant. Depending on the customer's request but also the sport boat variants were installed. From 1988, 20 ships were delivered to Japan, which were equipped with TAMD61A and 296 hp.
The "Sport" version was equipped with the lighter KAMD42A.

Others

Boat number 2878 for Bahrain was equipped with Castoldi waterjet drives. This shows that the J32/J34 was not the first ship from Storebro with jet engines.
